FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely! I'm a PPA member (Professional Photographers of America), and read their monthly magazine cover-to-cover. I'm working toward my CPP degree (Certified Professional Photographer), and already passed the written test -- had to drive to Baltimore to take it. (Eventually, I want to earn a Masters in Photography.) I'm a big fan of PHLEARN (Aaron Nace's photography and photoshop learning channel), and Kelby One training. My main video mentor is producing a "Photography Survivor" show for the web, with a companion web site. I will be collaborating with him on that soon. I also stay sharp entering short film competitions.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Having photographs taken, like public speaking, makes many people uncomfortable and self-conscious. My job is to make the client look good and feel comfortable. These basic needs are most noticeable during a portrait session, but present to some degree in absolutely every assignment. I never forget these basic facts of human nature, and strive to accommodate them in every job.
