When I was little I could sit and look through boxes of family photos old and new for hours! I got so much joy out of looking at fun memories of my family and I still do today! I love to go to my parents house and look through those same boxes of photos, it just never gets old!
Fast forward a few years...I was one of those teenagers that had no idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. All I knew was that I loved art. I had a friend who decided to go to the Art Institute for interior design, so I thought "yes art, I want to do that!". I went to the Art Institute for interior design and I enjoyed it but I knew I wanted to do something more than that!
Fast forward a few more years...I fell into the wedding industry filming weddings. I enjoyed it way more than I could have ever imagined! I continued to film weddings for 10 years. However, about 5 years in I picked up an SLR and haven't wanted to put it down yet! I have now been videoing and photographing weddings and families for 19 years!

My husband and I wanted to get married on as little of a budget as possible, but we didn't want to skimp out on a photographer. Candace was very reasonable with what she quoted us, and her level of professionalism far surpassed my expectations. She was super responsive and communicative, accomodating, and even offered up some really cool suggestions for pictures when we had no clue what we wanted to do. Working with Candace was a great experience and I definitely recommend her for any venue, big or small!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am always watching trainings and taking training courses in photography and editing! There is ALWAYS more to learn!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Well, I've ALWAYS loved photos ever since I was little. I would always get out the family photos and look at them for hours. As I got older and picked up a camera it just kind of came naturally to me. I just love capturing love and those teeny little faces that make your heart melt!

I most commonly do weddings and on location family and newborn sessions.
