Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I do many kinds of photography, and learn from as many people as I can. This keeps my work fresh and interesting. I don't do the same wedding over and over, taking the same pictures every time. I purposely push the envelope on creativity, and challenge myself every time to attempt something I've never done before. I also take the technical and professional aspects very seriously, and am working toward my CPP degree (Certified Professional Photographer) from PPA (Professional Photographers of America). I love the creative challenge, and that every day is different. I might do a children's party one day, then a wedding, then a DJ promo video, protest march, then a commercial video shoot with industrial robots. On the way home I'll see some goslings walking across a meadow, backlit by the sun, so I'll stop and shoot that. I look for exciting locations (Carrie Furnace works tour? I'm there), and unique events. Star party for amateur astronomers? I'll show up and see what I can do. Shooting just the Earth isn't enough for me!

Wedding and Event Photography

Jeff was fantastic. He was the expert on site. Arrived earlier and stayed longer. Best part was the quick turnaround with the photos (48 hours). He definitely raised the bar, and the quality was stunning! Will hire him again if we are back in the area.

Wedding Videography

and the Oscar for BEST WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHER goes to . . . . Jeffrey Bennett! He was phenomenal; loved every second of our daughter and son-in-law's wedding video. In addition to this, Jeff also took some candid shots as well. Those pictures were fabulous too. Whether you choose Jeff as your videographer or photographer, you are making an excellent choice. Jeff is the BEST!

Family Portrait Photography

Jeff took photos of my family during a 3 hour 85th birthday celebration for my mother. Jeff was professional and provided outstanding service. In addition, the pictures were ready to view one week after the event and they are all exceptional. If Jeff wanted to photograph several 3-year olds playing on the floor, he got on the floor and shot the pictures - the result was some of the best candids I've ever seen - especially of little ones. I give Jeff the highest recommendation!

Wedding Videography

Jeff is an extremely creative and talented videographer and photographer. He went above and beyond what I thought he would do. I hired him to video our wedding, but not only did he do that, he also took some pictures at the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner which he featured in the video! We were very happy with Jeff's work, we definitely recommend him to everyone!

Jeff did a great job. He took photos from every angle and lighting that he could try just to get the perfect shots at my location. I would highly recommend him.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Absolutely! I'm a PPA member (Professional Photographers of America), and read their monthly magazine cover-to-cover. I'm working toward my CPP degree (Certified Professional Photographer), and already passed the written test -- had to drive to Baltimore to take it. (Eventually, I want to earn a Masters in Photography.) I'm a big fan of PHLEARN (Aaron Nace's photography and photoshop learning channel), and Kelby One training. My main video mentor is producing a "Photography Survivor" show for the web, with a companion web site. I will be collaborating with him on that soon. I also stay sharp entering short film competitions.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Having photographs taken, like public speaking, makes many people uncomfortable and self-conscious. My job is to make the client look good and feel comfortable. These basic needs are most noticeable during a portrait session, but present to some degree in absolutely every assignment. I never forget these basic facts of human nature, and strive to accommodate them in every job.
