- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I put a lot of effort into improving my teaching skills. This is an ongoing process so I keep up with playing styles and such every week.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I used to visit a store called Guitar Bazaar. I asked about teaching there and when there was an opening they gave me a shot. I found out very quickly that my students liked and got a lot out of my lessons. From there I worked not only on my guitar playing but also on my teaching skills. I enjoyed it so much that I never quit.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most people want to learn songs in their favorite styles of music. Every now and then I'll get a student that wants to get a deeper understanding of music and we work on music theory.
