Introduction

I represent the client in the security arena. Most often a manager or supervisor is appointed to set up or establish security. He or she usually is at the mercy of the security company which advises what that company needs in the way of security. Unfortunately the company purchases services and equipment that they do not need for a hefty price. I represent the client and I ensure they purchase only what is needed and that they get what they pay for. I do not allow the provider to take advantage of the client. When you go to court you hire a lawyer; when you negotiate with a security provider you need a representative that is on your side. I am that representative I am your advocate. I enjoy negotiating and representing the client. I love the fact that the security provider and I am on the same level and that I can get the best security coverage for the client and I safe them time and money.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in Security Management. I am currently pursuing a MS in international security and I am a member of ASIS . I attend seminars and have now completed my certificates PSP / CCP. I also just completed a course with the Department of State Ft. Mead MD for my certificate as a Facilities Security Officer.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been in the security/safety arena for many years.I first got interested while in high School while working as an EMT. After 9/11 i decided I would make it my profession and I pursued and graduated from college with a 4 year BA in Security Management.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I evaluate the current status of the security package. This includes the vulnerability assessment ( both internal and external), the risk assessment and threat assessments.This is usually followed up with an assessment of budget. I am often ask to evaluate and assist with providing good back ground investigations on new employees.
