We are a licensed and fully insured, owner-operated design-build team specializing in residential remodels, renovations, and custom projects. We combine architectural training, decades of design experience, and hands-on construction expertise.
Our partnership brings together a skilled builder and an experienced designer, allowing us to manage projects from concept through construction and finish. We focus on kitchens, bathrooms, basement and whole-home renovations, with in-house expertise in tile, masonry, carpentry, flooring, and detailed finish work.

Patrick was fantastic to work with. He replaced our tile floor and installed a new patio door insert, and the quality of his work really shows. His background in architecture (CMU!) comes through in how thoughtful and meticulous he is — but he’s also just a genuinely nice guy with a real passion for what he does. Highly recommend!

Tex from PGH construction company was incredible. Not only did he move and reinstall my sauna two floors upstairs, he also assembled a couch in the basement out of the kindness of his heart. I highly recommend Tex and PGH construction company for any of your general contracting needs!

We are very happy with how our floors turned out, they truly look beautiful. Unfortunately, that’s where our positive experience ends.
Communication throughout this project was extremely poor. Updates were rarely provided unless I asked first (with maybe one or two exceptions), and at one point we even received a message at 1:00 AM with questions that required responses. It felt like we were constantly chasing information rather than being kept informed about what was happening in our own home.
There were also several preventable issues that caused significant frustration and damage. Our kitchen, which was not part of the project, was not tarped off initially. I had to specifically request that it be protected, which seems like a very basic precaution for a floor sanding company. When they did tarp the area, they used duct tape directly on our walls. That tape residue is now stuck to the paint and will not come off without damaging the finish.
Additionally, our newly installed doors were scratched during the process and now need to be repainted.
Even more concerning, something during the project appears to have blown a fuse in our dining room. As a result, our refrigerator was without power for nine days. This was never communicated to us. When we brought it up, we were told the outlets were “inoperable from the start,” which we know is not accurate.
While the final floors look great, the lack of communication, care, and accountability throughout this project has left us extremely disappointed. We raised these concerns and were met with no willingness to take responsibility or make things right.
Based on our overall experience, I would strongly encourage future customers to proceed with caution.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your acknowledgment that loved the final appearance of the floors, and we were glad we were able to get them to that condition for you which was the specific scope of work we were contracted to complete.
As a design-build firm, our work on this project was limited to the agreed floor refinishing areas. Appropriate containment and protective measures were implemented, and no work was performed outside those designated spaces.
We remained in regular communication throughout the project via text and email regarding scheduling, progress, and site conditions as with all of our projects.
We did not access or alter any electrical systems, and no electrical issues or property damage occurred in connection with our work or were observed or reported at any time during the project or upon final walkthrough.
We take great pride in our professionalism, craftsmanship, and the quality of the finished result, and we stand fully behind our work.
