Results -- In many cases, I've succeeded where others (including many other "name" instructors) have failed. "Teachers teach the way they've been taught," and my own academic background (Berklee, Duquesne University, Cincinnati College-Conservatory) has been both intensive and highly structured. I also believe that my training in music theory has given me an analytic edge in my teaching -- I'm very skilled in pinpointing physical/musical problems and plotting a structured path that works for the needs of the individual student. To this, I designed, implemented, and taught the program in Guitar performance at West Virginia University at both undergraduate and graduate levels (1994 through 2018). I'm currently a professor of Guitar at Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania.

Mr. Elliott Is professional and a genuine gentleman.
Unfortunately, I will not be able to work with him and I feel as though that is my loss.
I was able to find an intensive course in my own community. I’m going to give this a try if it doesn’t work I’m going to contact Mr. Elliott and try the virtual. Route.

Sorry I am just seeing this but I have been with these lessons for a while now. I can not express the value I find in each lesson. The intricacies of learning such an great instrument as the guitar and having a very knowledgeable teacher. I am hoping to continue for a long time and to become accomplish player with such a teacher.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Tuition is due in full the first lesson of each month, for the number of lessons to be given that month.
Rates, for a monthly block of lessons, are based upon $50 per hour; $30 per half hour:
Four-week months:
$200 for four one-hour lessons
$120 for four ½ hour lessons
Five-week months:
$250 for five one-hour lessons
$150 for five ½ hour lessons
Students may not pro-rate monthly tuition payments for any reason other than the instructors cancellation(s). Checks which are not written for the full and proper amount cannot be accepted, and instruction will be withheld; full tuition for the monthly timeslot, including payment for any lessons withheld will be expected before instruction can resume. Lessons withheld due to late payment will not be made up or credited. In the event you must miss the first lesson of the month, please send your payment to my home address for delivery before the second lesson of the month
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a professor of guitar at five universities since 1994. Extensive performing history, including many years as first call guitarist with Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburgh Musical Theatre, WV Public Theatre; touring experience with top 40, southern rock, and jazz ensembles; Diploma in Professional Music, Berklee; M.M., Music Theory, Duquesne University; Post Graduate studies in Music Theory, Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was performing much more frequently until the COVID-19 pandemic. During that period, there was an enormous boom in guitar sales. Also, during that time, the theatres where I did most of my performances had been ordered to close. Thankfully, I began to receive many calls for guitar instruction, and it was a logical and natural transition from performing to full-time teaching.
