Session discounts: • 90 minutes: $5 off • 2 hours: $10 off Small group rates: • 2 students: +$15/hour • 3 students: +$25/hour I don’t charge travel fees within the South Hills, and quick parent updates are always complimentary. My goal is to make high-quality ESL and reading support predictable, affordable, and stress-free.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a brief conversation to understand the goals, English level, and the desired skill improvements. For K–12 students, I review school needs, confidence with reading, and any IEP/504 information. For adults, I focus on speaking fluency, pronunciation, workplace English, and everyday communication. During the first session, I use simple reading, vocabulary, or conversational tasks to see how you learn best. Then I create a personalized plan for ESL, English, or reading support based on your level. Each lesson follows a clear routine, and I track progress so you always know how you’re improving. My process is structured, supportive, and designed to help you build confidence quickly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Master’s degree in Special Education and am a certified ESL Program Specialist in Pennsylvania. I’ve taught K–12 English learners, adult ESL students, struggling readers, and students with IEPs/504 plans in school and tutoring settings. My training includes: • Phonics and decoding instruction • Reading intervention • Vocabulary and grammar development • Pronunciation and fluency practice • Culturally responsive and structured language teaching These evidence-based tools help my students make steady, measurable progress in English speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension.
