I generally do not write poor reviews, but I feel it’s necessary in this case. My work with Jen was extremely disappointing. I hired her to run Google Ads for my business, and I feel she misrepresented her experience with them. After 8 weeks of running unsuccessful ads, I discovered that she was running the wrong ad type for my business. Subsequent research and consultation confirmed with 100% certainty that the ad type she chose to run would never be recommended for my profession or population because you cannot refine it to meet a local niche audience (only 40% of the web traffic the ads generated was located the state in which I am licensed to practice, and of that it's impossible to know how many of those users are in need of my service because there are no available metrics for the ad types.) As a result I spent over $1000 in unsuccessful ads and $1250 in fees to her to monitor the ads. The correct campaign would likely have resulted in multiple customers in that time with that expense, so the loss was exponential. In the very least, it would have provided all the data we would have needed to modify the campaign for success. After 8 weeks we had no data because the ad type does not monitor cost per click, conversion rate or audience. The set-back was devastating, and the mistake was egregious. Instead of owning up to the mistake, admitting to her lack of knowledge in this area of marketing and trying to make it right, she insisted that she had done nothing wrong. She then invoiced me for $2000 for the remaining time left on my contract when I terminated our work together, which I felt spoke to her character and professionalism. If you enter into a contract with Jen, please ensure you have an out-clause, because she will not take responsibility if she damages your business.

I hope potential clients read my response before passing by my business. Sometimes you cannot help people who do not know what they are asking for and instead of discussing their miscommunications with me directly, they chose to try and hurt my business. This is extremely disappointing to hear from a client as I pride myself on a business that I have run for almost 30 years, and I certainly do not take advantage of my clients in any way. There has not been any issues with myself or the work being performed between the client and I until her husband got involved, who self proclaimed himself a "tech" guy who knew enough to get himself in trouble. After signing a 6 month contract in December and discussing the process, the ads, and that building the business would take time, Marilyn claimed that she understood everything that we were doing. She was well aware that we were doing google display ads and approved designed and placements for 2 months running. I also kept her well aware of the process, the analytics and that we were very successful in driving thousands of people to her website, but the website was the issue regarding conversions. My team went above and beyond explaining what changes needed to be made on the website so ensure conversions, and the response I got was accusatory and I will bullied. In our last conversation, Marilyn agreed that she miscommunicated what she wanted and we agreed to change direction. Unfortunately, her husband had other plans. I can say that this review was NOT written by the women that signed a contract with me, and contains many falsehoods with regards to the work I was hired to do. I will not go on to bad mouth this client as that is not in my wheelhouse to do; however, I will say that she does not know anything about the work that she hired me for, nor does her husband. She signed and approved a 6 month contract that is legally binding and as of yesterday, has attempted to cancel that contract because she does not understand the process nor the fact that she is responsible to pay me for work performed. In the end, she DID get results. Marilyn and her husband just chose to to listen nor understand what those results were and what we needed to do to get her where she needed to be. I wish her the best, but I am not sure she will get what she needs.

I do not have a standard pricing system as each client has different needs and their projects vary from client to client. I tailor my estimates to the individual business request.

Discussion is key. I like to get to know the client... Their personality, their needs. Then I can provide a better estimate and client-designer experience.
