FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is flexible and based on each client’s specific needs. I always try to find a fair rate depending on the type of event, the number of people, location, and the kind of photos you’re looking for. I’m open to offering discounts in certain situations, especially when the distance is reasonable or the photo session is more focused or simple. My goal is to make great photography accessible without compromising quality.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start by understanding what my clients are looking for. If they’re unsure, I help guide them toward discovering their unique style or vision. Every person has something special, and I do my best to bring that out in their photos. I also want my clients to know that I never rush — I’m patient, kind, and always take the time needed to create something we’re both proud of.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work? A: I started working in photography when I was 14 years old at my family’s studio, Evelio Alegre Fotografías, located in Bonao, Dominican Republic. There, I learned the basics of photography — how to handle cameras, use lighting and flashes, and work with clients. Over time, I became passionate about learning more on my own. I started studying through books, online tutorials, and YouTube channels, and I continue to grow by exchanging tips and tools with fellow photographers I've met in the industry. To formalize my education, I attended Chavón School of Design in Santo Domingo, where I completed two technical courses: Advanced Photography and Photographic Lighting. Although I was already familiar with much of the content, I wanted to push myself further, so I continued my education on Domestika, taking specialized courses on color theory, image development, and more in-depth lighting techniques. Most recently, I’ve focused on exploring the newest AI-based tools for photography enhancement. I truly love photography, and I plan to keep learning for the next 60 years — if life allows it!
