Guitar Lessons

Learning from Nick has been great! His lessons/plans/notes are concise and not overwhelming for a beginner. I saw progress after the first few lessons which was awesome and something I had not really experienced messing around with the guitar/ taking some lessons over the years. I would highly recommend Nick to anyone wanting to play guitar!

Guitar Lessons

Nick is great! I like how he balances helping me build on skills I already know and introducing new concepts. I like that his plan going forward is tailored specifically to my goals, and he provides good notes on the main takeaways from our session and exercises to help me improve. Overall, I’ve had a great experience and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of taking lessons with him.

Guitar Lessons

My lessons with Nick so far have been quite fruitful. Nick assesses flaws in your guitar playing and recommends excercises accordingly. His lessons are structured really well and his notes after every lesson are extremely valuable as they cover what you need to work on throughout the week and help lay down a plan for daily practice.
PVD Guitar's reply
Thank you for the thoughtful and detailed review! I'm really happy to help, and look forward to continuing to work with you!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My private lesson rates are: $35 - 30 min. $50 - 45 min. $60 - 60 min. Add $10/lesson for local travel to your home. (My travel availability varies. Just ask!)

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I always start by evaluating a new student's previous playing experience, ability level, and personal goals. From there, I tailor the lessons to help them move steadily towards their goals and address any bigger issues that may be holding them back.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 10 years of experience as a full-time guitar instructor working with students of all ages, ability levels, interests, and goals. I graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2008 with a B.A. in Jazz Studies for guitar and the URI Award for Musical Excellence.
