Introduction: Divine Investments Inc. is a boutique real estate firm offering brokerage services, property management, rental services, consulting, and developing. Divine Investments first opened in 2001 and currently manages 250 units comprised of residential income and commercial properties as well as condominium associations. Rani Vails, president and founder, has been a landlord in Rhode Island herself since she was 22. She is also a developer who began with a condo conversion project in the Promenade neighborhood by the Providence Place mall right before the big market crash. Since than, Rani has developed many foreclosure rehabs, creating family friendly living units in some of Providence’s most fragile neighborhoods. In 2012, Divine Investments was awarded its first federal grant through Rhode Island Housing for an affordable healthy homes rental development project in Providence's fragile Smith Hill neighborhood. In the beginning years, Rani began to receive referrals for property management from people familiar with her real estate pursuits as her development projects were always distinguished by their swift, efficient and frugal budgets. Over the years, Divine Investments began to formerly offer property management services and Rani obtained her brokerage license to assist in first her own sales and than those of others. Today, Rani specializes in working with investors as a buyer’s agent but is always happy to speak with the first time buyer (some of which have gone on to become investor clients) or assist with a listing sale. Divine Investment’s property management portfolio includes a highly diverse snap shot of Rhode Island, from lovingly maintained historic buildings on Benefit Street in Providence to charismatic seaside cottages in Warwick to commercial buildings compromised of mom and pop enterprises. Rani brings her wealth of knowledge and experience resolving a wide range of building maintenance issues along with a desire to share with her clients affordable and smart sense ways to maintain a property’s value.

I highly recommend Divine Investments for property management--they managed a property I owned in RI for nearly 15 years, and they did an incredible job, from finding great tenants, to resolving issues quickly and efficiently. Whenever they hired anyone to do work on the apartment, I felt like the work was done well, and affordably. They definitely made being a landlord much easier on me, and they were always helpful and kind to my tenants. They are pleasant to work with, and they have an expert knowledge of managing buildings and budgets...I always felt like I was getting good advice from them regarding my property. I definitely felt like I was in good hands. They are very professional and reliable, and will exceed your expectations.

Our 3-4 months experience with this firm was horrible. The owner puts herself and her schedule above that of her clients. She lacks professionalism in that she selectively communicates with condo owners and almost never in a timely fashion. Her management of our condo association's finances was abysmal. We are happy to no longer be associated.

DO NOT RENT from this company. They are RUDE and Unprofessional. The owner Rani is a lazy ignorant women. She will show up late to meetings and cancel them last minute. when she does show up she poorly dressed and looks like she just got out of bed. The properties she rent are dirty and unlivable, filled with mold and who know what else. I should have known the minute I stepped into her office, which was filthy and covered in dog hair. Divine investments is the worst investment I've ever made!!! Please listen to me and do not rent from this women. You will regret it!!!!!!! I'd give zero stars if I had the option.
