I am specializing in a variety of Consumer electronics. I am also offering soldering, PCB assembly services, circuit board repairs, and wire harness repair.. If I can't resolve your issue or the repair just isn't practical, then there is no charge! Send me an email with your product model and a problem description, and I will take care of the rest. Do you have a damaged circuit board? Do you just need a burnt component changed? Repair of circuit boards is always very much cheaper than replacement, and a viable option if the OEM is out of business or no longer supports the product. I do component level repairs, touching up solder traces, as well as surface mount electronics. I'd been trying to find a place to repair a set of computer speakers around Providence --- couldn't find anything good through Yelp or otherwise when I stumbled upon Thumbtack and Digital Repair (Eric) reached out too me. He seemed familiar with the project I was asking him to undertake and was very responsive to my messages. We set a time and place and he did the work we agreed on, plus another small issue I didn't bring up until delivery of the speakers to be worked on. He fixed everything in just one day. His price was fair given what any other audio repair shop would charge --- and much cheaper than it would be to send my speakers into the manufacturer. Ended up saving a set of $400 speakers that I thought might be toast! Highly recommended.

One of the big problems these days is whenever you approach a so called Tech Repair Guy with an issue, they always try to convince you that instead of fixing it, you need to buy a new one. Well Eric is a throwback to the good old days. A knowledgeable, honest, prompt repairman. He resoldered a broken piece on my Garmin GPS and had it back to me in two days for one tenth the cost of a new one. It works good as new and saved me close to two hundred dollars. I will not hesitate to go back to him again and will refer him to my friends and family. Thanks again, Eric!

Eric not only did a great job (my Garmin works perfectly now), but he also uploaded all my updates! He was super quick (1 day turnaround!), and a lot cheaper than the other bids. I'll be calling him whenever I need my electronics repaired from now on! He is fast, trustworthy, and very nice.

Overall, the service was very, very professional and I would definitely go back to them for future electronic repair needs. In specific, Eric was quite flexible in arranging drop off of the item to be evaluated, prompt in making his assessment (less than 2 days), thorough in his research of options (checking on common failings with this unit, what solutions others have pursued, what 3rd party parts are available), and quite honest about which solutions would and would not be worthwhile - even to the point of proposing a solution I could do myself and refusing to accept any fee for the assessment. This sort of refreshing honesty and competence may have cost him an easy fee, but it earned him respect and a loyal future customer.
