- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically I charge $75 for a one hour consultation which allows me to see the home and get familiar with the clients style. If hired, I wave the consultation fee! Usually I present the client with a scope of work agreement which outlines a flat rate charge for my services based on how long I think it will take me to complete the project at task. Pricing varies with each client depending on budget and size of project. I also provide an "E Design" service through my website. This is my one stop, one price shop for designing a room quick and from scratch. This allows you to shop when you want, paint when you want, etc. but we give you the design and necessary information to implement it. Price changes on room and sq. footage. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with the client and discuss the details of the job. This allows me to get a feeling for the home and what the client wants as well as shoot off some ideas on the spot to see if I would be a good fit for the client! From there I develop a scope of work agreement, pricing out what my services would cost. Once agreed upon, I begin all the fun work! I will work endlessly with my client to develop a design that is just right for them. I produce all necessary drawings and finish schedules for the project, as well as manage it from beginning to end. This includes working with contractors, architects, ordering all products, and installation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture. This allows me to be the perfect combination between an architect and an interior designer. Being knowledgable in building codes, and architecture as well as Interior Design allows me to create spaces for my clients that are not only beautiful but functional as well. I am constantly reading and going to seminars to keep up with the current trends and new products available to my clients.
