Rick DJ'd for my wedding at City Art. He was always quick to respond to e-mails and texts and made extra efforts to ensure there was sound equipment for the musicians and minister as well. I booked Rick without meeting him, but he was very professional over the phone when we spoke. A few months before the wedding, we met to go over logistics. At that point, I wasn't sure what all I should be planning for, but he had his own list of questions to make sure everything was covered and he had a good feel for what kind of event we wanted. He came to the rehearsal the day before to make sure he knew where he was needed. He was punctual and professional the entire weekend and did a great job playing the songs we requested and filling in where needed to get the guests dancing. He announced our entrance, followed the schedule I made, announced the important events, but wasn't too obtrusive otherwise. Everybody had a great time and people really enjoyed themselves. I would highly recommend him for anybody looking for great dancing music and somebody to help with coordinating sound equipment.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. DJ Smooth is absolutely wonderful! He recently provided his DJ services for my father’s surprise birthday party. Prior to the party, he communicated with me several times to discuss my musical preferences for the event, run of show, and when to expect him for arrival to set up. He arrived exactly on time as promised and even wore attire to match with the theme of the party. Throughout the party, he kept guests on the dance floor with his musical selections and made sure to cater to the guest of honor. He has an eye for detail and is extremely professional and personable. DJ Smooth even gave a surprise shout out to my father on the radio the following day! If you need a DJ, DJ Smooth is a top pick. I will definitely use him for future events.

Rick was awesome last night! It was my daughters 13th birthday, and he brought the whole room together! Music was perfect, some of us parents could not resist moving and grooving too! Will definetly use this awesome DJ again! Thanks Rick👍

Rick Smooth is start to finish, stand up first class!! I booked Rick for my daughter's Sweet 16 party at the Corley Mill House in Lexington, SC. My daughter wanted a night of dinner and dancing with a variety of music played that would incorporate the different age groups attending and include vast genres of musical tastes. I emailed Rick a list of 80+ songs a week beforehand that she'd come up with for him to make his selections throughout the evening. He took special requests in addition and never hesitated to play any of them that she wanted to hear next. Rick kept the flow of the evening going all night. In the middle we took a break to have birthday cake and then he brought her friends and family right back together again to dance until the very end! It was an absolutely fantastic evening! Rick was already there well in advance testing his equipment when our family arrived to set up or decorations. We had a "University of Georgia" themed party that I told him about when I sent the song list and he was even wearing red and black too to support her! Like I said - first class all around! Rick is so polite and considerate of any specifics and particulars you may mention to him about your function ahead of time as well as during. He is fully dedicated to his craft and it shows in such a positive way. He engages your guests and keeps a feel good vibe in the room at all times. We were so very pleased that we booked him and I assure anyone who does the same will be equally impressed! Rick even went as far as "shouting out" on his late afternoon radio show Sunday that he'd had a great time at my daughter's party over the weekend and enjoyed "Grandma's Cupid Shuffle and Uncle's Harlem Shake". He helped us pull this milestone night together without a hitch and created a special memory for my daughter for years to come!!!

It was an absolute pleasure working with DJ Smooth at our corporate event with our Nordstrom client at U of South Carolina. He was very professional, followed our guidance on the playlist, MC talking points, etc. Our client was extremely pleased. I HIGHLY recommend him for your DJ needs
