Regarding tutoring, it is impossible for one shoe to fit all or to effectuate exceptional improvement using standardized - cookie cutter instructional techniques combined with duplicated - identical instruction materials, each and every student working with recycled ( cost saving ) material. At Prometheus.Academe...we understand that "custom designed" is requisite for the"Unique." Never have we provided services to a "Standardized Student!" Our student's success is the direct measure of the success of our instructors. No other consideration holds such absolute status with us. The first three sessions we provide are free of charge...and these sessions may be used for homework help, test preparation, instruction on specific topics as requested by the student, or for working diagnostic sections of standardized entrance exams. Whatever the case may be, we strive for a comprehensive understanding of potential material mastery and performance issues. From our history, experience, and proven track record of success, we confidently offer the first three sessions free of charge. We are willing to assume this cost to gain true understanding the challenges we will face in order to meet your expectations of performance, efficiency, the true value of the services you receive for the cost you pay Prometheus.Academe, are far and beyond exceeded. We begin the design of each student's instruction plan, resolving such issues as what are the difficulties to address, why they exist, and what will be the most efficient approach to realize "Success!", Additionally we, as best possible, focus the first three free sessions to the optimal benefit of the student's immediate needs. And in other cases, the first three sessions are used to render the most comprehensive illustration and understanding possible, of what the experience of learning a new language, for example, would be...and what would be required of the student regarding effort and time required to ensure success. There are no advance payments requested. Billing is weekly, by the hour, and only for services rendered to date.

In August of last year, we realized - a little too late that my daughter really needed to finish her preparation for the SAT so he could begin her college applications. Colette my daughter worked a number of weeks and when she felt she was prepared she took the Sat. We were really disappointed with the results. Her score was way off the mark from what she needed and much lower than we thought she was capable of. I went looking for a tutor and a friend who had used Prometheus. Academe before. with great results, recommended their services and provided me with contact information. In the end, my daughter's SAT score was improved by over 200 points. This increase put my daughter in the range needed to apply to the colleges she wanted most. Prometheus. Academe got the job done- just like my friend said they would. My daughter Beth was a rising senior, an excellent student, but a poor test taker - relating to standardized exams. We knew we needed to find her exceptional exam preparation services when her time for taking the ACT and SAT came. When I came across a Prometheus.Academe and their “ BOOT CAMP SAT-ACT” After reading a few details, and with their introductory offer of the first three sessions free, I had to at least make a call to learn more. My daughter was shooting for admission to a top tier university, her credentials were excellent, but what remained to round out a very respectable admissions application was a superior ACT or SAT exam score. The Prometheus.Academe BOOT CAMP Program is certainly not for the faint of heart. Their preparation method is not designed simply for only the best of the best students. As they explained, their program is designed for students who desire accomplishment to the BEST of their abilities and also who have the resolve and grit to make it happen. The initial step of their approach comes down to an evaluation from two distinct perspectives. What, at present, does the student know? And what are any and all performance related factors the student faces for which some degree of remediation is essential. They begin with extensive diagnostic testing used to assess and quantify the student’s true degree of Material Mastery. Prometheus then proceeds with in depth evaluations they use to isolate, evaluate, and qualify the students Performance related issues such as focus issues , cognitive speed, mental math ability, anxiety issues, and performance under pressure, to resolve what non-Material Mastery factors might be in play. Factors, anyone of which could significantly compromise a student’s composite score. With a clear understanding of the students approximate existing performance potential, Prometheus will provide the student with their assessment of all diagnostic information collected. From this point, student expectations and goals are discussed along with other considerations such as how many sessions per week the student will commit to, how many hours of independent study the student will commit to, and what their availability will be on select weekends when scheduled proctored practice exams are given. They recognize how different and unique each student is. Some of their past students' goals were improvement of their first ACT score from 21 to a 27, some from an 18 to a 23, and some were within reach of scoring 30 - plus and set their goal to score 32. For each and every student, including Beth, a one of a kind, need specific, custom designed instruction plan was created. As time passed, improvement realized, their respective plans were modified in real time to respond and adjust to newly recognized opportunities for additional improvement. In the end, we were delighted with Beth’s scores and the unique preparation of exceptional quality she was so fortunate to receive. I was enrolled in Michigan State University’s Pre-Med program and I was making very good progress through the curriculum until I unfortunately was introduced to Organic Chemistry - I and II. Mandatory classes in Michigan State's Pre-Med program. An associate of my father had a son, Ben, who finished the same Pre-Med program a couple of years before me who also had crashed the infamous Organic Chemistry I and II Wall. Ben's father fortunately passed contact information for Prometheus.Academe, the tutors who had helped Ben, to my father. George, with Prometheus and I developed a very disciplined study routine which always included homework completion and excellent test and quiz prep. I believe one key to our success with both classes was due to our excellent chemistry in working as a team. I always felt comfortable regardless of how difficult the material was proving to be and I always felt George to be unique in his teaching as unlike many tutors I have known in my past, he was always teaching “to me”,instead of just burning the clock and teaching “at me.”

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for Academic classes, i.e., help with Junior High - Middle School, High School, and university undergraduate classes is scaled based on ranking of difficulty according to academia standards. The prices for tutoring can vary widely based on how much out of session work is required, i.e., amount of graded homework, custom practice exam preparation and grading as needed, etc,. Additionally, prices per hour decrease in proportion to the number of session hours provided weekly - at times up to 20%. In summary, final pricing is determined from a collective of factors and negotiated typically after completion of the initial three free sessions we offer. Billing is on a weekly basis. As for our Boot Camp Entrance Exam services, we begin with a fixed price discussed in our initial conversations. The price per hour can be scaled down in proportion to the number of session hours provided weekly. The discount can be s much as 20% per hour. Entrance exam preparation requires constant diagnostic testing to confirm improvement is realized in whatever specific problem areas a student may have as well to confirm that the student's composite exam scores continue to rise. This is a timely process and such examinations re typically reserved for weekends. Prometheus.Academe does NOT charge for the time required to proctor the exams, nor for grading and final student consultation. For our Boot Camp Entrance Exam Preparation Services, Prometheus.Academe provides all study and exam materials needed free of charge.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initially, objectives (realistic) must be quantified by the student, diagnostic work, such as practice exams, specific topic exercises, etc., must be performed to resolve what the problems, challenges exist and if possible why. The answers may be self-evident, usually not. Based on this information, an initial, custom designed study plan is formulated which outlines course of study and recommended amount / intensity requisite effort required to meet performance objectives - all with student's existing obligations and commitment to Boot CAMP Program factored in. Conclusions drawn from this input will give us our initial performance benchmark as well as our best approximate estimate of performance improvement the student can expect to realize. Our proposal is presented for discussion, questions, modifications, and hopefully resolve so that work can begin immediately. We always begin our new client relationships with a three session offer (2 hrs/each) free of charge. This affords us an opportunity to perform the initial assessment - diagnostic work needed. As well, these three initial sessions will give students and respective instructor an few sessions together to allow clients to confirm their satisfaction with the instructor/student chemistry and confidence in the outstanding quality of our services. From this point, hopefully we get busy. The plan of action is not a fixed and rigid remedy, but rather a game plan, "strategy", which can be changed in real time as circumstances demand.
