FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually give a standard rate, but I am open to change that depending on the circumstances and your needs. Just as I adapt my techniques of interpreting or tutoring to fit your need, I also try to be flexible with the price, time and location.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spend a minimum of 20 hours a week immersed in Spanish conversation etc, and I interpret at least once a week.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The more I meet people around me from other countries the more excited I get about their language, their culture, and their mindset toward life. It is exciting to see the little breakthroughs that show that what is being taught is really taking hold. As I learned Spanish for myself, this thrilled me to no end, and I immediately started trying to help friends of mine who were at a lower level in either Spanish or English and requested help, in an effort to provide them with that satisfaction of it "clicking."
