My technician was great, early, professional. But after the carpet dried I still smell an odd urine smell which was why I hired the service. It's 6mon old carpet with no stains just has always had a funk urine smell and I read that your company deoderizes so that's why I went with A-Z clean. Mystery of the smell continues... :/

Donald Hayes and his team did a great job cleaning my single family home when I moved out. My landlord was very impressed with the cleanliness of the home. I was sure that one the carpet stains wasn't going to be removed because it had sat for so long (6 months), but Donald removed it without any issue. Not only are they very professional and followed my request to the letter, they were also very personable and respectful. Donald also gave me tips on handling the carpet issue that I have in my new residence. I was able to get both services (professional house cleaning and carpet cleaning to remove stains) from one business instead of two. They were on time, provided their own supplies, and left a great impression on me. It's not very often that you get the full package deal with a cleaning service but Donald Haynes delivers AMAZING service at a GREAT rate. His bid was better than anyone else that provided a quote. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that is looking to have their property cleaned.

My GSD had a very upset stomach on Easter Sunday morning!! He decided my 4-year-old sons room would be his destination for relief. The viscosity, large amount, and excessive distribution all combined to make it impossible to properly clean and sanitize myself. I contacted 4 Corners around noon that day on thumbtack. I received a call back very shortly thereafter asking if I intentionally put todays date and wasn’t trying to schedule for the next day(s). I explained my situation and the man I spoke with (Allan IIRC) said he needed to make a few calls and would call me back shortly. At this point, I did not expect to hear from him again. To my extreme surprise, he called me back about 30 mins later and said he was able to make it happen and someone would be here between 3-5 PM. I got a call at 3:38 from Josh (the other staff member) saying he was on his way and about 20 minutes out from my location. He arrived 21 minutes later. I showed him the "damage" and he smiled at me, said this is no problem, and it will look like new when he was finished. I left him to it and when he was finished, I went to go inspect the carpet. WOW! I had my carpets cleaned by ******** about 3 months prior but 4 Corners made it look so much better than that. Even so much as making the fibers in high traffic areas stand back up and look like new. This company is closed on Sundays, it was also Easter Sunday, I posted on Thumbtack, and I still received a call back. Arrangements were made and my carpet hadn’t looked so good since the day it was installed. All on Easter Sunday. He also offered to clean the carpet in my master bed room for no additional cost. I took him up on that offer and I can tell you these are true professionals with a mom and pop go out of your way attitude. Last note, I was expecting some huge fee for an emergency trip, a holiday, and almost no notice. but the price I paid was less than half of what I expected and no fees at all. I paid more than that for a scheduled appointment, the same rooms, and no pet stains from ******** 3 months ago! I am extremely satisfied, impressed, and grateful. This is the company you should hire. period.

Valet Dry Carpet Cleaning was fantastic. They were able to get stains out of the carpet that had been there long term (we are renters and experienced the re-emergence of stains from previous tenants). I'm so happy with how clean the carpets look and how quickly they dried. Also a big fan of the year insurance plan- I'm going to be using that and will remain using this company. Definitely recommend!

Needed a carpet cleaner on short notice. Called these guys and not only did they come out the next day but the job was thorough and I was really pleased. The price was real good as well! Much cheaper than two other companies I spoke to!

Tom is great! I bought a house just over a year ago. He has basically redone my house. He has always been friendly, on-time, cost conscious with materials, and has competitive prices for a professional of his experience. I have always felt safe around him and am comfortable with him in my house even if I can't be there. I would recommend him to anyone! If you are interested in the work he has done for me, see below. Electrical: all fixtures, replaced all outlets and switches, installed additional outlets and cable jacks, rerouted switches, garage door opener. Walls/Ceilings: scraped popcorn and refinished ceilings, major wallpaper removal, repaired holes (big) in walls and ceiling, retaped and finished broken seams, fresh paint throughout (the best painting I have ever seen). Flooring: removed carpet, installed hardwoods, installed travertine tile, repaired subfloor water damage. Plumbing: replaced various water lines, replaced broken water heater, installed new toilets. Misc: removed all old appliances and installed new appliances including a built in microwave, repaired rotted wood on exterior trim, painted exterior door/trim, pressure washed driveway, trimmed tree limbs back from house, installed new towel bars/tp holders, removed plate mirrors and installed medicine cabinets, refinished some cabinets, changed all the cabinet hardware, replaced all door hinges and knobs. Just too many little miscellaneous things to mention!

Edward did a great job on our carpets. He got out all of the stains that past cleaners were unable to. We will be using Palmetto Maids again for our carpet cleaning needs.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How often should carpets be steam cleaned?

Dirty carpets can be unhealthy for the people living in the home, particularly those who have allergies, so it’s important to have them cleaned regularly; simply vacuuming once or twice a week isn’t enough. Carpet cleaning should be done by a professional carpet cleaning service at least once a year to remove grime and help extend the life of your carpet. Most carpet manufacturers recommend professional steam cleaning, which penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and lifts out both dirt and the pollutants that get tracked inside. Steam cleaning also removes most of the moisture, so carpets dry quickly enough for homeowners to resume using them the same day. Between professional carpet cleanings, your carpet may need an emergency spot cleaning. Pet accidents, food or drink spills, and more can often be effectively cleaned with some water and a drop of white vinegar, although many cleaners will also make house calls for smaller spills and hard-to-clean spots like wine or grease stains.

Who cleans area rugs?

Like your carpets, area rugs should ideally be cleaned at least once a year to remove dust and dirt and help them last longer. In general, carpet cleaning professionals also clean area rugs. Some rug cleaners bring their cleaning equipment to your home, while others remove your area rugs and clean them at their facilities. Either way, the rug should be cleaned with the solution most appropriate to its specific fabric and construction. It should also be completely dry before you return it to the floor.

How much is the cheapest carpet?

If you’re looking to reduce carpet installation costs, there are several ways to save. Start by considering your carpeting needs. Manufactured materials such as polyester and nylon will be cheaper than natural fibers such as wool. From big box retailers, starting prices for olefin-based carpet are approximately 50 cents per square foot — making the cost under $5 per square yard. Indoor carpets made with olefin fibers are typically the least expensive on the market. Keep in mind that olefin fibers are not as soft on bare feet as other fibers, so are often used in areas like basements, playrooms or indoor patios. Nylon and polyester are good options to reduce carpet installation costs while still creating a cozy feel. The face weight, fiber construction and density of a carpet all affect the cost per square foot. The cheapest nylon or polyester carpets can start at just under $2 per square foot, making them about $18 per square yard. Lower-cost carpet tends to wear out more quickly and show stains more easily, so avoid light colors and vacuum regularly to keep the fibers clear of dirt that might age it too quickly.

How much does it cost to install carpet?

If you’re ready to bring new life into your house with a makeover from the ground up, you’re ready to learn more about carpet installation costs. Installation costs vary greatly, depending on a number of factors such as the type of carpet, the number of square yards, any necessary repair work, the number of stairs you have, and where you live. Due to these variables, the national average cost of carpet installation ranges between $200 and $4,500.

To start planning for your new carpet, measure roughly how many square yards of carpet you’ll need. Research the main carpet styles and materials you like to get a feel for what they cost. Nylon carpets are typically the least expensive, and wool is one of the higher-end carpets. Prices per square foot might range from under $2 to over $10, depending on materials. Count the number of stairs you want carpeted; each one might average between $3 and $10 (or more for box steps). Carpet removal can be an added cost as well, averaging $1-$4 per square yard, depending on the company and regional disposal costs.

How much does it cost to clean a rug?

Area rugs are typically found in high-traffic areas of the home, like hallways and entryways, so they collect more dirt and stains than simple vacuuming can handle. Similar to carpet cleaning, professionals can come to your home to deep-clean your area rugs. The national average cost for rug cleaning ranges from $80 to $120, but may be higher or lower depending on the rug’s size and fiber type. Rug cleaners generally charge by the square foot; for example, a standard 8-foot by 10-foot rug costs an average of $100 to clean. Natural fiber rugs, such as wool or silk, are usually more expensive to have cleaned than synthetic rugs. A carpeting cleaning company may charge on average $1.50 per square foot to clean a synthetic rug, $2 per square foot for a wool rug, and $3 per square foot for a silk rug. Some delicate rugs need to be washed by hand, which increases the price. Carpet cleaning companies often offer additional services, such as removing odors or applying moth deterrent, which can add 20 cents to 25 cents per square foot.
