The overall job was good and the quality of the concrete very good, but unfortunately, the excavator plowed over two sprinklers heads which resulted in a 3-day project for me to dig up, and replace, ruptured pipes after the concrete job was completed. The choice of timing to pour concrete on a day with temperatures below freezing made it quite tough and thrilling. With delays on the pouring-day (to be expected in freezing temperatures), not enough daylight hours were left for a perfect finish. Edges of concrete pads and paths ended up not straight/clean with excess concrete standing out along the edges. However, they did clean that up (and cut the excess concrete from the edges) in several areas upon pointing it out. Overall, the management and crew are experienced, extremely fast, and Richard Allen is great to work with. In my particular case: we met for final project review on a Sunday, they started moving dirt and grading on Monday and poured concrete on Tuesday afternoon. They were able to finish most of the project before nightfall on Tuesday, and all that, without time-pressure from the customer. Haven't seen any concrete company work that fast before! I didn't have a tight timeline, but if you do, Richard is your man! He can pull even complex jobs off faster than you can say "concrete". Would recommend him any time."See more
