Introduction

**During this time of concern regarding COVID-19, I am taking every precaution to ensure my studio is a clean and safe space for my students.** Aristotle once said, "Excellence is not an act, but a habit." This is the motto I abide by. While maintaining a positive, judgement free environment, I use my 20 years of voice training to teach my students healthy singing technique. In my lessons, I also teach music theory and best practices for performing. I know diving into music lessons can sometimes be intimidating. No matter your skill level, I am here to guide you and give you the tools you need to be a strong vocalist.

With Simon, he clearly used the perfect words to instruct me in how to sing and what to do. He is very open and quick to respond to issues in tone, breathing methods, and rhythms. Little did I know, I have a lot of tension in some of my vocal muscles that need to be worked out to become a better singer and Simon was able to point that out just by hearing my voice.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I come from a long line of professional singers and educators. My mother, a professional contralto, has always said that I was born singing and I have never stopped.
What types of customers have you worked with?
One of the best things about working in music is that I get to meet and work with so many people from different walks of life! I am proud to say that my customer base is incredibly diverse. No matter your age, skill level, physical capabilities or restrictions; if you have a set of vocal cords and a love for music, I can teach you to sing.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Test the waters. Almost all voice teachers will offer a voice assessment for free. This will give you the opportunity to see if you want to take voice lessons, if you and the instructor are a good fit, and to see if the instructor knows what they are doing.
