FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our prices vary dependent upon training program selected. We offer discounts to military, veterans, law enforcement, and first responders. Additionally, we offer discounts for multiple dogs trained (if a family has more than one dog that requires training).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Prior to scheduling any training, we conduct a free consultation at the dog owner's home where we review the dog in question and discuss training options with the owner. Once the consultation is complete, we will sign a training contract and schedule training. Our training method is primarily Board & Train. We also provide Private Lessons without the Board & Train if requested. We conduct Board & Train so that we can utilize our pack to teach the dog desired behavior and how to act in a domestic environment. Additionally, in the Board & Train we can solely focus on the dog in training and be able to "time" all aspects of training appropriately without distraction. During the Board & Train, we ask to meet with the owners in order to begin to work with the training and review the training progress. Upon completion of training, we offer a number of follow-up sessions included in our program prices. Group classes are also offered and included in our program prices which occur 2-3 times per month. The purpose of the group class is to continue to build the confidence of the dog and owner in any environment that they may go together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I learned from master dog trainers in Southern California continuously for one year before moving back home to Charleston, South Carolina.
