My two boys and I have launched Ember Shield Property Services, and we’re ready to start booking appointments! Initially, we'll be offering Saturday and Sunday appointments, with limited weekday evening availability by appointment only, allowing us to work around my full-time fire department schedule and the boys' school and sports commitments.
This business isn't just about hauling away unwanted furniture or cleaning out garages. It's about creating an opportunity for my sons to learn the value of hard work, responsibility, integrity, and pride in a job well done.
Too many teenagers today feel like they have to choose between earning a paycheck and participating in the activities that help shape who they are, whether that's football, wrestling, band, FFA, or simply spending time with family and friends. Kristin and I don't believe they should have to sacrifice one for the other.
As a father, I wanted to build something that allows my boys to work alongside me on weekends, learning real-world skills while still enjoying everything that comes with being a kid. My hope is that they continue to grow into young men who understand the value of showing up on time, working hard, treating people with respect, and taking pride in serving their community.
