FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's not really a complicated pricing system, but many homebuyers and homesellers don't realize that Realtors are paid by the seller at the closing of a transaction. Typically that amount is around 3%, oftentimes more in the instance of new construction sales. Some realtors will charge an administrative fee to buyers that may or may not be rebated back to them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, in real estate they are called designations and are above and beyond our required continuous education. My designations are Realtor (I adhere to a strict code of ethics), ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative), e-PRO (electronic marketing professionsl) and am Certified in New Construction sales.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a career history in various administrative capacities. When I moved to this area of SC, I briefly managed the office of a mortgage and real estate company. I took such an interest in the real estate aspect, I became one.
