Introduction: Our training is not just about teaching commands like sit, down, and come. We believe teaching your dog how to relax is equally important – this is skipped in so many other training programs. Over the years, we have never had a client ask if we could help them make their dog more hyper. So, it would seem relaxation would be one of the most important aspects of training.
Just as important as relaxation is reliability. Of course, we teach dogs all the basic obedience and commands you will need to communicate with them, but we also teach them how to follow through with commands even in the most distracting environments. We believe in refining your dog’s comprehension of obedience so that it becomes a way of life for them, not just a few tricks they can show off when they’re in the mood. I am amazed at the expertise and knowledge John Hayes and his wife Lauren have as dog trainers. Their experience and professionalism cannot be matched by anyone in the Chattanooga area. I have been a client of Johns for 1 1/2 yrs and I cannot believe what all he has accomplished with my Golden Retriever Charlotte. We started out with the basics course and now Charlotte has completed many certifications including Service Dog. The first thing I noticed about John is his dedication and professionalism towards the handler and their dog. How he believes in every dog no matter the breed or circumstance. It has and continues to be a rewarding experience every day, especially when we are out in public and people comment on how trained and well behaved she is everywhere we go. Ill tell you like I tell those that see Charlotte out in public. Do not go anywhere else but the Dog Wizard or youll be wasting your time and money.

John is truly amazing with dogs. He is great at training dogs and training people to handle their dogs. We first met John when we went through training with an adult dog (about 5 years old). This was a great experience, and we were so amazed with the changes in her behavior in such a short time frame. Since then we have worked with John with a new puppy. This has been a wonderful experience to build a strong foundation on a young pup. It doesn't matter if you have a puppy or an adult dog John can help you go to the next level for sure. Two other noteworthy points - 1. I have tried other dog trainers in town. John is the best, by far. 2. For us, working with the dogs is a family thing. John is great working with not only my wife and I but is also great with our daughters. He takes time to answer their questions and includes them in the process. I can fully recommend John and The Dog Wizard of Chattanooga to anyone with a dog.

What can I say about The Dog Wizard Chattanooga?!?! They were awesome! John trained my dog. Not only did he train my dog, he followed through with follow up lessons so that I understood how to train my dog. He was awesome! Why would you wait to call him?
