FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Labor is billed at $100 per hour. Materials are billed at cost plus a 30 percent markup, which covers sourcing, pickup, delivery, waste, and carrying the cost until the invoice is paid. Estimates are free and written. The estimate spells out scope and assumptions so you can see what is included and what is not. If the scope changes during the job, you will hear about it and approve it before the work happens. No surprise line items at the end.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I call back the same day you reach out. We walk the space together, measure, and talk through how you actually use the room, because I want to understand the problem before I propose a solution. You get a written estimate with scope, materials, and timeline spelled out, plus drawings or samples where the design needs to be seen before it is built. Then I build, with an update every Friday so you always know where things stand.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Fifteen years hands-on experience in residential construction. Several home flips over that span, covering kitchen remodels, deck construction, landscape design and planting, hardscaping, and stone work.
