I've been taking voice lessons from Natalie for a couple of months and just in the short time, I've improved my vocal technic and qualiy. I'm almost 40 years old and wish I would have started voice lessons a long time ago. There is so much more to singing than I realized. Natalie is extermely knowledgable, experienced and provides an easy and comfortable learning environment. She also video records each lesson so I can go back and practice excerises and recall our conversations and helpful tips. If you are thinking about voice lessons, I would recommend calling Natalie.Apr 21, 2014VerifiedA Higher Note LLC Voice Studio's reply
Thank you, Anne. It was a pleasure working with you for a year to grow and develop your voice, not to mention attend The Voice audition with you.
I took a few months of voice lessons with Natalie shortly before she relocated from CT to OH. I also knew Natalie from community connections. I think she's an absolutely wonderful teacher, not only personality-wise (she's very kind and funny, very encouraging) but in terms of her ability to teach me how to understand what singing involves and how to use breathing, posture, and face position to best use. She videotaped each lesson on with her laptop and gave me the DVD right away for home practice: what a great idea!Jul 19, 2013A Higher Note LLC Voice Studio's reply
Thank you, Brian! I hope you're still singing and developing your voice in CT!
I came to Natalie tone-deaf, at 23 years old, with no singing experience, never having sung in a chorus or ensemble of any kind. I now have the technique and confidence to sing out whenever I have the time. My pitch, tone, and range have improved dramatically. If you take lessons from her, heed her advice, and practice diligently, you will not be disappointed.Jul 5, 2013
I worked with Natalie when she was still on the East Coast. Sadly for me, I have not been able to find a replacement teacher with as much knowledge, patience and teaching expertise. I was a complete novice and Natalie was able to take me through the basics of voice training very quickly. While we focused on the techniques I needed to improve - I also had a lot of fun just singing. The lessons were never a grind.Jul 4, 2013
You have a wonderful voice. Just beautiful, I really enjoyed hearing you sing. I get that a lot. Well, not me actually, but my daughters. They love to sing and quite frankly, they do have lovely voices. (Its my job as a gloating parent to say that.) Baseline, I know that my daughters possess an aptitude for music, for singing. My desire in seeking a vocal instructor was to unlock potential. Natalie has truly been a blessing for my girls. At the conclusion of the very first lesson I could hear the difference in their voices. Focused, projected, strong. And the improvements kept coming. Lessons focused on vocal exercises, breathing techniques, phrasing In other words, everything you could want or expect from your instructor. I suppose the difference, that little bit of lagniappe, that sets Natalie apart is compassion. Natalie cares not only about what shes teaching, but whom. And I found that to be of the greatest benefit to my girls. Her easy-going manner and warmth immediately set my girls at ease allowing them to sing unencumbered and unafraid. Confident. And with confidence potential is limitless!Jun 28, 2013
