Introduction: I provide piano and keyboard lessons. I have a background in classical and other styles of music such as pop, rock, blues, funk, jazz, country, worship, etc., which includes many years of professional performing and studio recording. My method of teaching would include reading notation as well as numbers (based on music theory which would enable one to play more by ear and improvise, as opposed to only reading notes). It all depends on what one would most desire to learn as everyone is different regarding his/her learning needs and level of playing/expertise. I am over 50 and have been playing since age 5, and have a concert grand piano (Yamaha C7) as well as other electric equipment (keyboards) to enhance the learning experience.
