Whether you are a complete beginner to more advanced I will cater my lesson program to your personal musical needs! My student base varies widely from touring musicians to novice and recreational singers and musicians. I have worked extensively under top vocal coach Mark Baxter and in 2022 became a member of IVTOM (International Voice Teachers of Mix). After nearly 20 years of instruction, I have found that laying a solid foundation of proper technique is the key to long term vocal health and ability!
I began teaching private lessons after graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA in 2004. I’ve been teaching online lessons via Skype since 2012 and absolutely love teaching people from all over the country. Missy MacQuarrie has been absolutely wonderful with my daughter. Not only have I seen my daughter’s skills vocal and piano skills improve, I have seen her love for music grow. Missy is excellent with her teaching techniques and engages her students which is especially challenging to do with remote interaction. She makes it a point to always give positive feedback and keeps the parents updated regarding their child’s performance and areas for improvement. The new website is easy to use and there are a lot of flexible packages to choose from.

We love Missy! My daughter was super shy to start vocal lessons but really wants to sing. After one lesson with Missy, she has requested weekly lessons and is no longer shy about her singing. She gets super excited when it's time to meet and goes in her room now with the door closed so she can sing and won't be interrupted. lol

Missy is awesome ! She is so professional , knowledgeable (about literally everything to do with the human and voice and how to use it properly ) I had requested an in-person meetup at her residence (beautiful and professional studio like setting as well ) for my lesson . From the start of the lesson she was kind and welcoming and sincelerey intersted in my needs and curiosities of what my voice was capable of.
She found my range, explained to me how to better use it , where my strongest voice section is , and my highest range as well as my lowest. She also answered my question of what keys my voice would be best suited for.
Going in I didn’t know what to expect because this was actually my first vocal lesson. She explained to me in detail every question I had and helped me to understand things I could do better and where problem areas were . I do extreme vocals as well and she even had advice and suggestions on keeping my voice healthy and strong to do both without damaging it. I left feeling excited and more confident of what my capabilities will be in the future after continuing to get lessons from her.
I loved my lesson and will be returning via online lessons and occasionally in-person if available. 100% recommend A+ ! Thank You Missy !
