FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a chat before work begins, either by email or over the phone. We talk about the project's goals, the estimated turnaround time, the number of revisions (I typically include at least two revision rounds in each quote) and invoicing. Using Square, I invoice for 50% of the project's cost up front to protect my work and invoice for the remaining 50% after delivering the project to protect the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in English, a minor in Creative Writing and a certificate in Creative and Professional Writing from Saint Louis University. I also studied publication at Watkins College of Art, Design & Film.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Writing is a vocation, not an occupation. I'd still find a way to write and edit while penniless in the dark. I began my career in journalism, moved into book reviews and continued writing fiction and nonfiction throughout.
