Rates can increase due to travel distance, time of day (early morning, evening, night), weekends, length of time kept waiting.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A phone call or email exchange conversation to discuss document type, number of signers, meeting location, preferences or requirements for Covid protection by either party or policies of signing location (ie, hospitals, nursing homes), answer questions from the client, finalize cost, appointment time, and location.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked at an organization that provides premarital counseling. Couples getting married in TN can get a discount on their marriage license if they complete premarital counseling or an equivalent course. Having a notary on staff was important due to the number of completion forms we provided.
