Michael's Guitar Lessons

Introduction: I've been teaching guitar for many years and really enjoy watching people grow and enjoy themselves while learning to play. I pride myself on providing the tools and knowledge that everyone needs to have under their belt whether you're learning guitar, or any other instrument for that matter. I'm well equipped to teach any genre of music, and have beginner and advanced students as well. I feel that it's important to develop a plan for each individual student based on their skill level, goals, and personality. I also want my students to feel free to show me songs they want to learn and I do my best to teach them not only the song, but the theory behind any chord progressions or lead work. Learning the guitar should be fun, so I try and make it as enjoyable as I can. It can be frustrating but hard work pays off and I'm here to make sure it does! I enjoy watching other people reach their goals and it makes me feel good to see someone else light up when they learn something new or are really enjoying themselves playing the guitar. I can remember myself starting out and all the little milestones I hit, and how good it felt to get there. I love seeing other people hit those milestones too and I want to make sure that people avoid common pitfalls on their journey. Maybe some pitfalls that I've seen other people make and so can advise against. I love being able to share my passion for music with others. Also, being able to have an outlet to teach people a method for learning that I believe in strongly drives me. Aside from music, I enjoy just being able to mentor kids and teens and so hopefully some of the principles I teach will rub off in other ways and I try and be a good role model as best I can. I know some parents will be hesitant watching their kids join bands and knowing the lifestyle that can lead to so I try my best to show that you can be a rockstar and not make bad choices at the same time. If some of that rubs off, it would bring me great joy.
