- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge $85 for a kitchen design appointment and $150 for a standard interior design appointment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We typically meet with a customer either at the jobsite so that we can do a few things including: Meeting, getting a feel for your goals, getting measurements and evaluating the space, and setting a budget. NEXT, we'll get to work designing! We will schedule a follow-up appointment where you can come into our design studio and we will present a FULL 3-D design presentation where you can see exactly what you'll be getting and how it will look in your space. This is extremely helpful to people who are not very visual (like my husband!) We will make any adjustments and get a final price together. NEXT, we will get a 50% deposit and we will order materials and schedule an installation date (if applicable). The remainder of the invoice will be payable upon delivery of the materials. This is not where our relationship ends, however. We will be available to help and we stand behind our products. Most of our business is referral-based OR repeat business.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a gift for design. I wasn't sure how I could use it - but, life and a supportive husband allowed for me to have an environment that allowed me to branch out - to both succeed and to fail. After a lot of hard work, Shae Design Studio just took off - and we have been blessed to help a LOT of families with their projects. Design offers me a lot of personal fulfillment and I am also thankful that I am able to provide so many professionals with employment. I love what I do.
