FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Weekly maintenance for residential pools is a flat monthly rate — no surprise charges. The price depends on pool size, features, and whether it's a chlorine or salt system. If your pool is already clean, clear, and blue, we can usually quote you right over the phone with just a few questions. If it needs recovery work first, we'll come take a look. Standard chemicals are included in the monthly rate; specialty treatments like algaecide or phosphate remover are billed separately and we always tell you before we use them. For commercial properties, we quote labor and chemicals separately. Commercial pools vary widely in usage and chemical demand, so this keeps billing transparent — you only pay for what your pool actually needs. Repairs are quoted upfront. You approve the price before we start, and if we find something unexpected mid-job, we stop and call you. No work happens without your okay. Maintenance is month-to-month with 30 days' written notice. No long-term contracts.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll ask a few quick questions about your pool and what you're looking for. If your pool is clean and clear, we can often quote maintenance over the phone. Otherwise we'll schedule an on-site walkthrough to look at the pool, equipment, and water condition. Clear pricing, nothing hidden. Your first service is usually a deeper one — we get chemistry balanced and note any equipment concerns. Same day each week, with a photo and chemical report sent to your phone after every visit. If we spot equipment issues along the way, we tell you what's urgent, what can wait, and what it'll cost. A note on estimates: Renovation and green-to-clean estimates are free. If there's an equipment issue and we need to dispatch a service technician, there's a $99 dispatch fee — waived when you approve the estimate.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every technician goes through a rigorous hands-on training regimen before we ever put them in a truck alone. That's paired with ASP's online training center — a national curriculum covering water chemistry, filtration, equipment repair, and safety standards. Once a technician hits certain milestones, we invest in them further by getting them CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certified. That's the industry standard credential for water chemistry, sanitation, and pool safety — formal coursework, an exam, and ongoing renewal. We're also a licensed Tennessee contractor (#82335) and fully insured.
