- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The only thing about my pricing is how I have the customers pay. Upon contract signing customers will pay a deposit for the materials and 20% labor. Then depending on how long the project is expected to take, I may ask for draws but I will never ask for the final 20% of payment till project is finalized.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first start with a consultation to meet the customer and figure out what they have in mind for the scope of work. I then take measurements so I can provide the most accurate quote possible. Then if they wish to proceed I will have them sign a contract and collect a deposit check (materials plus 20% labor). After contract signing, the building process begins. At the end of the project I will walk through with the customers and if they’re happy with the final outcome I will collect the final payment. Side note: I keep in very good contact with the customer through out the whole scope of the project.
