Introduction: I'd say what makes me stand out is definitely the experience I give my clients. I love to make my clients feel comfortable enough to be themselves. I will probably make you laugh. I'm also a perfectionist about what I do, you will not get up out of my chair until you absolutely LOVE what you see. I LISTEN to my clients, I know coming in that it's not about what I want, it's about what YOU want. MY CLIENTS! Cheesy as it may sound, I can't do what I do without my clients. I can go to every training possible, buy every latest and greatest on trend product for my pro kit, but without them I have nothing. I hired Chrissy to do my hair and makeup for my wedding in October of 2012. She was absolutely wonderful!!! She listened to what I wanted (simple but nicer than your average day makeup and hair) and came up with a vision that she executed perfectly both in trial runs and on the day of my wedding! She was even on standby with concealer after my soon-to-be-husband and I saw each other for the first time and the tears started flowing! I felt beyond beautiful, thanks, in large part, to her artistry, and I continue to admire the photos from that day every chance I get! Beyond her work, which speaks for itself, Chrissy is a personable, funny, passionate, and loving human being who was an absolute joy to have by my side throughout the day!

Chrissy is absolutely incredible at what she does. She truly loves and takes pride in her work. Never have I felt more confident in myself than after she enhances my natural beauty. Chrissy has done my hair and makeup three times. The first time was for a photo session for pageant pictures. She was incredible and it really made the pictures special. The next time she did my hair and make up two times over a pageant weekend. She was so fun and cheerful during a time of stress and anxiety for me. She even stayed and cheered me on! She truly made me look the absolute best I could. I could not be more thankful to have met and worked with her. I will definitely use her over and over again! I highly recommend her to anyone- she has a gift!

My experience with Christina Nix was amazing! She styled my hair and makeup for my engagement pictures. I was very nervous to have someone that I had never met before get me ready for such an important day, but Chrissy was fabulous! She called me ahead of time to get an idea of what I wanted for the photo shoot, and she constantly made sure I was pleased with everything while she got me ready. My hair and makeup looked flawless in person and in pictures! Not to mention, she worked right alongside the photographer to style my outfits and stayed to make sure my hair and makeup looked perfect in every shot. Also, I had the privilege of having Chrissy assist with my wedding pictures. Although she did not do my hair and makeup for this event because friends and family volunteered, she assisted the photographer. Again, she stayed the whole time to guarantee I looked beautiful for the entire day and for all of my photos. Overall, Christina Nix was very professional, and I immediately felt comfortable working with her! I highly recommend!

Not only is Chrissy an amazing makeup artist, she is an amazing person. When everything with my Wedding was going wrong, she made this experience the easiest, the most fun, and the least stressful. She is very accommadating and was willing to travel to do our makeup and our trial run. On the day of my Wedding EVERYONE looked stunning, and everyone was very happy with their makeup. Even my husband complimented my makeup. He said I wasn't overly made up and my makeup wasn't caked on. He said it was perfect and I agree with him. I'm already planning to have Chrissy do a makeup and hair party for my teenage daughters, and the same thing plus wine for my friends and I. The only reason I didn't use Chrissy for my hair is because I alrady had a hairstylist for my Wedding. Chrissy is very sweet and makes everyone feel comfortable. After speaking with her a couple times I felt like I had known her for years. I would and have been recommending Chrissy to everyone I know. She is truly amazing at what she does. She will not disappoint. :)

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have a complicated pricing system, but I do have a variety of packages I offer, especially for weddings and bachelorette parties. I have detailed menus that I can email to anyone who contacts me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
YES!!!!! This is SO SO SOOOOOOOOOOO important! I never want to tell my clients I can't achieve a look they want because I don't know what it is or how to do it!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been nose deep in every magazine I could get my hands on since I was 9. I've always loved hair, makeup, and fashion! I also had CRAZY huge, thick, fluffy curly hair growing up so I took an interest in hair young. Makeup came into play a little bit later when I would sit next to my dad and watch him slave over Photoshop to edit images after a wedding, but full on when I took a Jon in retail cosmetics during cosmetology school. What's kept me in it is how it has allowed me to connect with so many amazing women!
