- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate degree in photography. Continuing education is also very important. There is always something new to learn, especially as the evolution of photography is growing so quickly.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My name is Derik Burrows. My passion for photography is second only to my family and friends. I discovered photography when I bought an antique Polaroid camera at a yard sale at the age of ten. Like all ten year old kids, what little money I had was always burning a hole in my pocket. The film was nearly impossible to find, and what film came with the camera went quickly, as I took pictures of everyone and everything. The film was gone, but the seed had been planted.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Nashville family photographer, Baby and new born photography, family group portraits, maternity portraits, photographs of children in all age ranges, senior photographs, and life style photography, and events are the areas I am most specialized in. I am also a grow with me photographer. This has a double advantage for you. First you get a discount on every portrait session and order placed with me, and second as I get to know you and your family better, I can customize my style of photography to more fit your needs and preferences.
