FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually charge an hourly rate between $60 and $100 per hour, depending on the type of work. I am open to a per-project cost, if we come to a clear understanding what the project is and what it will take to complete it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we talk about the project the client has in mind, we decide if we would like to work together, and we make a plan for accomplishing the client's goals. Then we plan and work out a process for interviews, transcription, updating progress, payments, and concluding the project. I draft an agreement that both of us sign so we know we are agreed about how we will work together and how payment will be made.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the University of the South with honors in English, magna cum laude. I taught 8th grade English for two years. I have taken a course on executive public speaking at Speakeasy in Atlanta. I graduated cum laude from Nashotah House Theological Seminary and have earned a Master of Divinity degree. I have served as an ordained Episcopal priest for 35 years.
