What to Expect: The Therapy Process at Truest Self Therapy LLC 1. Free Consultation (Optional) We start with a brief phone call or video chat (about 15 minutes) to ensure we're a good fit. You can ask questions, share your goals, and get a feel for how I work. 2. Intake & First Session Your first session is about getting to know you—your history, your current challenges, and what you’d like to work on. We’ll complete any necessary paperwork and begin building a foundation of trust. 3. Goal Setting & Treatment Planning Together, we’ll outline your therapy goals and create a personalized plan using evidence-based approaches like CBT, EMDR, and trauma-informed care. Whether you're navigating anxiety, ADHD, grief, or relationship concerns—our plan will reflect your unique needs. 4. Ongoing Sessions We’ll meet weekly or biweekly (depending on your preference and needs). Sessions will include open conversation, real tools, and a balance of reflection and action. Progress is regularly reviewed and the plan adjusted as needed. 5. Support Between Sessions When appropriate, I may offer worksheets, coping tools, or reflective prompts for you to use between sessions. These help reinforce the work we’re doing together. 6. Transition or Maintenance When you feel ready, we’ll begin preparing for the end of regular therapy. Some clients shift into maintenance sessions (monthly or as-needed), while others feel complete and empowered to move forward independently.
