My name is Kevin Nguyen and I teach beginner to advanced hip hop dance foundations! I have been dancing competitively since 2019. I was a dancer on Izavibe, a competitive dance team, in Dallas where we placed 3rd in World of Dance Dallas 2023 and 1st place at Monsters Austin 2024! I have been a backup dancer for Korean Idol groups, been a back up dancer for KPOP idol Alexa at the Jingle Ball Show in Dallas in front of a crowd of 10,000, a lead dancer for Svdden Death for a crown of 4,000, a dance ambassador for KPOP idol group Enhypen, and performed with LA dancers! My goal as a teacher is to make you more comfortable in your own body and find your own style when it comes to hip hop! From beginners who want to take their first private dance lesson all the way to advanced dancers who want to learn advanced choreography, I will be the one to get you to get your dance goals!

I had a fantastic experience taking dancelessons from Kevin! As a complete beginner, Kevin was patient with me and helped me get a solid understanding of the fundamentals of hip hop dancing. After a few lessons he created a personalized choreography for me to the music I requested. I highly recommend Kevin for anyone interested in learning hip hop dance!

Total beginner at dancing and wanted to get better. Reached out to Kevin and we started from the absolute beginning (what I needed). From basic rocking to a beat, basic drills, beginning footwork etc. According to Kevin, he could already see me "vibing" better to music after our first session. I was slowly feeling less rigid ( I feel like I'm stiff as a wooden plank when I am dancing). We then used those to try incorporating into working towards a choreography for a song piece. Super helpful and I appreciate Kevin's patience with my total lack of dancing groove. Would absolutely recommend Kevin if you have any interest or motivation in improving your dancing ability. I charge a flat rate of $75 per person per one hour session and $95 for two people per one hour session!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I’ll make sure that you’re comfortable and that your goals line up with my teaching style! The sessions will be fun and chill but at the same time, informative!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have danced on a competition dance team since 2019 and have since directed and choreographed pieces for the dancers on my competitive dance team!
