Goals
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I specialize in first-time swimmers, swimmers looking to increase their skills, and nonswimmers with a fear of water. Five (5) one-hour courses are offered at $350. The goal of the five (5) 1-hour courses is to teach the student to display confident, unassisted buoyancy and forward motion in the water. The private one-on-one courses are hosted in my outdoor pool. Parents of young children may stay on the premises for the duration of the course. However, I encourage parents to remain out of view of the child to foster a sense of trust in the instructor. In my over 10 years of experience as a swimming instructor, I've been employed by both large-scale organizations and small facilities. I served as the Aquatics Director for the Boy Scouts of America, managing a staff of six, supervising more than 1,500 swimmers over a 90-day period and leading a lifesaving course that certified more than 25 lifeguards. I also instructed under gold-medal Olympian, Jim Montgomery, the first man to break 50 seconds in the 100-meter freestyle.

I learned to swim from Nicole and She is an excellent instructor. I had immense fear of water and been an adult hard time learning too. Nicole was very flexible, patient and would go above and beyond to teach and boost confidence. Her swimming techniques are great and easy to learn. She teaches with lot of dedication. I have taken swim lessons in past but found Nicole to be the best and would highly recommended her for swim lessons.

Nicole gave both my younger children swimming lessons. My son the youngest one was quite difficult as he did not want to put his head under water. Nicole was patient and kind. She worked with him until she gained his trust. Both children are excellent swimmers today. We love Nicole!!!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I begin with a simple questionnaire to gauge the student's comfortability in the water and always move at his or her pace while keeping their goals in mind.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I love the water! In high school, I was a varsity swimmer and I have more than 10 years' of experience, including a one-week intensive water safety and rescue course taught by the Boy Scouts of America. I also managed the Sid Richardson Scout Camp as Aquatics Director, where I oversaw the entire water-based program and taught lifeguard training, canoeing, and swimming.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I've worked with students of all backgrounds, from ages 2 to 72.
