- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Your success is my goal. In order to achieve something you've never done before, it takes a commitment and investment in yourself. You're capable of anything you choose to do! Therefore, I ask for your commitment to the program that will help you get there with either: 10 session packs for in-person training 3 month commitment for online nutrition coaching Payments can be arranged according to your budget and needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes! I have my Bachelor's in Biology and Masters in Kinesiology, both from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, I am applying for Ph.D programs in Psychology. I am always reading books in our field and beyond. Right now, I'm between Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules of Life - An Antidote to Chaos and Kurt Vonnegut's Hocus Pocus. One thoughtful, one fun :)
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In 2008, I lived in Japan and didn't really have a whole lot to do. One of the other Americans liked to work out so I started going to the gym too. I couldn't even do one push-up... I started off with trying to do P90X but I couldn't do it! I got really into it and just kind of ran with it. When I returned from Japan to the U.S., I started working at a chiropractor doing massage and ART work. When I was talking to the women, I was hearing the story over and over that they were scared to go to the gym because they didn't know how to use the equipment. So I started a program called Halcyon Fitness. Halcyon means "to be in an idyllic state"; I wanted to teach women how to create a happy place at the gym, rather than a scary one. And so it began!
