FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once we agree upon the date and rate, the customer makes a deposit to confirm booking, and I communicate with her/him via email to ensure I have a thorough understanding of the client's style preferences and any other details to consider. We will typically meet in person prior to the event date to do a trial run and work through any concerns to make sure everything is flawless for the big day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Beginning in high school and continuing through college, I initially learned to do stage makeup, which I went on to do for many theatrical and dance productions. Since becoming a freelance makeup artist (glamour, bridal, professional head shots, body art, and costume/fx), I've constantly immersed myself in books and videos and tutorials, always brushing up on technique and the latest products/tools. I also have years of formal training in fine arts, through which color theory and painting emerged as my specialties. I definitely bring that passion to my makeup services in the form of color blending and contour expertise.
