Terrapin Electric is a fully licensed and insured Texas Electrical Contractor (TECL 37755). All of our electricians are licensed Journeymen through the Texas Department of Licensing. We take pride in providing honest service — our electricians are not paid on commission, so you’ll never be upsold on unnecessary products or services.

Our issue: Had a bad switch for the light in our closet.
Had a great experience with Terrapin. The technician diagnosed the problem quickly. Additionally, he explained what was going on in a way that was easy for me to understand. Fixed the switch very quickly and gave some pro tips on what kinds of light bulbs to purchase for the encased closet light, so we could maximize how long we could use the bulb before needing to replace it. I don’t think I could ask for much more out of the experience! Thank you!

I will say they are more expensive that others, but well worth it! It’s the old saying “you get what you pay for”. It was the attention to details that won me over. The burying the cables under the rocks in a tidy fashion, running new cables to ensure problems don’t exist in the future. Would 100% hire again. Trust is a powerful thing.

We don’t charge hidden fees, and if anything changes during the project, we’ll communicate clearly and get your approval before moving forward.

All of our electricians are fully licensed through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), ensuring they meet the highest standards for professional competence and safety. In addition to their licenses, each team member holds either an OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification for construction safety, equipping them with the knowledge to work safely and responsibly on every job site.
We place a strong emphasis on ongoing education and safety. Our team participates in weekly in-house safety meetings to stay sharp, address potential hazards, and reinforce best practices.
