Introduction: I am a licensed professional counselor with over ten years of experience in working with individuals, especially women, families and groups. Some of the issues I commonly address include anxiety, depression, family-of-origin issues, stress-related illnesses, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, life transitions, and self-awareness and self-concept issues. I have experienced working in schools as well as with families and teens in residential treatment facilities. Some of the issues in which I have experienced were domestic-violence issues, alcohol and drug addiction, parenting, and blended families and divorce issues. I believe that healthy individuals and families seek counseling to remain healthy and to increase their overall satisfaction and contentment in their life. When people have the basics covered, then only do they really have the freedom to move higher on that hierarchy of needs to work on bettering relationships, self-awareness, self-confidence, and self-actualization.
