Introduction: Hello my name is Jose Manuel Gurrola owner of Acorn Carpentry. I’m a hardworking individual who’s focus is provide quality and perfection to all of my projects. Cutting corners isn’t my specialty. I won’t let you down. I provide quality with everything I build. I’m dedicated and take pride in all my work. I enjoy using my creativeness to create unique pieces for my clients. I have over 25+ years of experience in all kinds of construction. I started as a Laborer working my way up to a Superintendent Assistant for Conshor Inc., where I worked for 17yrs. Ten years ago, I established my own remodeling & carpentry business Naples, FL. Where I worked building a repor in communities like the Vineyards, Esplanade, Twin Eagles, TalisPark, Mediterra, FiddlerCreek and The Quarry just to name a few. I have experience working with interior designers and knowledgeable in Commercial, Multifamily, HighRises, Condominiums and Single Family residential. Jose blew us away with his care and attention to detail on our home projects. He installed a new door, added new trim, and put baseboards in several of our rooms. He listened to our wishes, brought thoughtful perspective to our ideas and was generally a dream to work with. We've used a lot of contractors on Thumbtack and Jose is the best of the best. I forgot to add that he saw a few little things he could do to improve the spaces he was working in and did them free of charge. Jose treated our home like it was his own. We are so appreciative.

I provide relatively fair prices for my line of work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to find out what my customer wants/needs. Then I like to go do a site visit; during this session it’ll include me measuring and finding out what exactly my customer needs. Then I’ll draft them a quote within 2-3 days.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 27+ years of working experience in all kinds of construction.
