Mr. Duncanson was very helpful in the planning stages. He clearly communicated his costs, and there were no surprise fees along the way. He was consistently courteous and professional. And, most importantly, I am extremely pleased with his carpentry work. I highly recommend him for your project.

Chris was punctual and honest. He worked around my schedule to fit in my project. Not only did he finish the project quickly but he also taught me a few things during the course of the work. I will never use another contractor in Austin.

Chris met me out to do a bid for a deck and was very knowledgable about his craft. Works alone mostly, so there's no extra crew he has to pay. He spent the better part of an hour talking to me about the job and was quick with a detailed description and materials breakdown in his invoice. He gave me a realistic quote, instead of one that would get him the job. You get what you pay for, in my experience. Hopefully, my clients choose to go with Chris over someone else that will cut corners.

Chris provided rough carpentry work for a closet remodel, a new closet add, door hanging, and an attic rough opening expansion. work started very promptly and he was able to accommodate several changes we made during the work he was performing at a very reasonable add-on rate.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Most common jobs we would carry out are trim carpentry. We are also regularly doing remodels, wether it be one room that needs updated or whole houses that need over hauled. Common small jobs would be hanging doors interior or exterior, installing floors or replacing windows and re trimming.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

My advice to all my customers is call my references. If you can't get good references from a contractor then you shouldn't use them. I strive to build long lasting relationships with my customers and they are the people I want to recommend my business to all new potential customers. Also choose a contractor who listens to what you want. At the end of the day you know what you want and your contractor must listen in order for you to get what you want. If the person youre hiring doesn't seem to know what you want or want to listen then you will not get the final product you want.
