I’ve had the pleasure of learning guitar with Trevor, and I can’t recommend him enough. He’s not only knowledgeable about music theory and technique, but also really great at meeting you where you’re at. Whether I wanted to work on fundamentals, dive into theory, or just focus on songs and styles I was interested in, Trevor always tailored our lessons in a way that kept things engaging. I would also say he’s super friendly and easy to work with—lessons never felt intimidating, just motivating to go home and practice. If you’re looking for a great guitar teacher who really cares about your progress, I’d go with Trevor!

I’ve been taking remote guitar lessons with Trevor for almost two years and have had a fantastic experience. Trevor is such a thoughtful, caring, patient, and engaged teacher, who provides a well-rounded approach to learning how to play guitar and is proactive to customize the learning experience to your unique needs and interests as a student. Trevor goes above and beyond to be helpful and tailor the experience to you, in terms of working toward your goals and learning the style of guitar you're interested in. Trevor has a knack for explaining confusing concepts such as music theory in easy to understand forms, is as great at catching ways you can improve your playing such as your hand positioning as a teacher whose in the room with you, and is able to provide zoom video recaps at the end of lesson so that you can take what you learned and practice it in between lessons. Trevor has exceeded my expectations and I can’t recommend him enough to anyone looking to improve their skills at all levels. I've plateaued at playing guitar for decades and our lessons have translated into me seeing notable progress in writing guitar parts for the first time, which was one of my biggest goals -- thats one of many reasons I can say the return on investment is high when it comes to taking lessons with Trevor.

Working with Trevor for guitar lessons was such a blast. He is an expert in the field, but approaches each lesson with accessibility and kindness no matter what level you’re at. We focused some on theory and some on learning songs I like, which taught me a lot of theory a long the way. Trevor is super attentive to each student and spends a lot of time learning songs and making lesson plans for each individual’s needs. I highly recommend hiring Trevor for guitar lessons!

Trevor has an excellent ability to make seemingly difficult musical ambitions very approachable and ultimately attainable. My skillset has improved leaps and bounds and I'm grateful to have him as my teacher. Whatever your music goals are, he has the knowledge and practical experience to help you make it happen, all the while making it fun in the meantime.

Trevor is a game changer. Highly recommend! First off, virtual lessons work. If you’re like me, I was highly skeptical of them at first, only wanting in-person. Of course, with Covid, that was not happening. I contacted Trevor, scheduled an intro lesson and was hooked. The Zoom software works well and offers a couple extra benefits. At the end of our lessons, Trevor performs and records whatever we were working on so that I have it in video format during the week to reference while I practice. This has been a huge help. Also, when we work on theory, we can share a whiteboard while he writes and explains concepts. He is surprisingly good at writing with a mouse! Trevor is a first-rate teacher. He has great personality, sense of humor, patience, and most importantly an ability to break down the complex into the simple. For years, I had wanted to play Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Pride and Joy, but could never play the shuffle correctly, much less the intricate riffs in-between. Now I’m playing it at 90% live tempo. In fact, we are focusing on a blues song study progression, going through Freddie King to Eric Clapton to SRV. In parallel, we are also working on improv soloing techniques. A year ago, I would never have thought that I could pick up my guitar, connect the pentatonic scales, understand the theory, and solo with real emotion over a jam track. Without Trevor and our lessons, I would not be where I am at today. He has truly elevated my playing and I couldn't be happier with my continuing progress.
