FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Within the past few years I have be fortunate enough to travel to New York, for the IBS Hair Show, California twice, for UNITE Advanced Cutting and Color courses, and through-out Texas for various advanced styling, color/cut, and makeup courses. I keep up by following some of my favorite artists and industry magazines on Facebook as well.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I typically have clients come see me for their root touch-ups, all over color, highlights, and haircuts as far as traditional salon services go. For my bridal clients I offer both hair, and makeup and usually travel to their wedding location. I also am lucky enough to have worked on numerous photo-shoots, which have ranged from beauty shots to avant garde.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Hm, I wish the people understood the science that went into their hair color, and the artistic thought that goes into picking correct shades & angles. In the past I have heard people say it is an easy job and that its a slacker job, however I am an independent business owner, artist, customer service rep, stylist, psychologist, receptionist, & color/chemical specialist all while standing in heels all day, haha!
