The exercise is something that I also appreciate since I grew up here it's always good to be in your hometown working and taking pride in doing a solid job for every customer. It's also extremely beneficial with kids so I can keep up w/them. (Parents know what I mean)

Southern Junk Removal was the first to respond with a quote and I went with them when Jay called... even though it would be the next day (either morning or afternoon). I would have loved to have had it done same day but next day was reasonable. It wasn't much and I was specific. It was some left over household items like a folding lawn chair and several pots for plants, four 8' picket fence panels.and 5, 6, or 7 partly filled black garbage bags. I had moved and didn't want to make a trip back to Wimberley to do it. I'll say right now that it did get done. But I feel like I had to work at it to get it completed. First of all Jay wanted to meet me that day (the day before he was going to do it) to get the payment because he said their credit card machine was down. I couldn't meet him. The next day before he went out there he wanted me to pay him over the phone because the machine was ok and he wanted the payment before his office assistant left for the day. I didn't want to pay him until I was sure the work was completed. Before that, for some reason, what he said made me wonder if he was going to change his mind about doing the job. I had to ask him if he still planned to do it. As it turned out some of my former neighbors called and asked if they could have the stuff so there was hardly anything left except the trash bags and the fence panels. I asked him to call me when he was there to give me a report. He did call and said he'd text me photos but I didn't get anything until 2 hrs later and the fence panels were still in the picture and he had said he got them. I had to call him back to find out that a neighbor had taken two of them and was coming back for those other 2 that were in the photo. Sorry this is so long but you said to be specific. This is how I felt trying to get him to take care of it. I had to have everything gone. It seemed like it shouldn't have been that hard. But the job turned out perfect as far as I know.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are always keeping up with new methods along with new styles of homes built now vs. 10 to 20 years ago. I'm from Austin and know the lay of this land better than anybody. That familiarity pays off quite often. We like to say we have our PhD. in Junk Removal.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
