As a university professor, I received my Ph.D. in Foreign Language Education from the University of Texas-Austin. I have been a foreign language educator since 1990. I have 6+ years teaching U.S. students Mandarin Chinese as a foreign language and 25+ years of experience teaching English as a second language. I also enjoy translating documents, and I provide counseling services for students who apply for study-abroad programs.

I have really enjoyed learning Mandarin Chinese with Jennifer. Jennifer is willing to adapt to my needs and adjust the style of the lesson plan to make sure I am learning most effectively. She has accommodated my learning style and checks in with me to make sure I understand. Jennifer provides robust and in-depth feedback on everything I submit. I especially enjoy the cultural elements that Jennifer presents in our lessons to help me get a clearer picture of Taiwan and its people.
